How to use technology to further my music career. I am especially interested in learning to use garage band, audacity, and podcasting as well as learning how I can use these programs to further my career.
About Me:
I have an unhealthy obsession with dress clothes and cool hats, although I am getting better about them. I love music in pretty much any way, shape, or form. I love history, so long as it is not American, and I love reading, but do not do it near as much as I would like to. I have found that my favourite things in life are the things that leave other people thinking, "What the heck?!?"-- such as curling, contemporary music, and books that don't have happy endings. I am also the only jazz saxophone player that I know who does not really like Bird or Trane.
Favorite Music:
I love just about everything, but especially alternative, anything british, 20th century art music (GO MINIMALISM!!!), and jazz (although I am not a huge fan of bop).My favourites include Medeski Martin & Wood, Franz Ferdinand, Weezer, Tower of Power, Parliament, The Arctic Monkeys, Philip Glass, Jacob TV, Beethoven, Cannonball Adderley, Paul Desmond, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, Lee Konitz, Gerry Mulligan, Doc Kupka, Dave Brubeck, Bill Evans, Art Tatum, The Smashing Pumpkins, Chet Baker, The Gotan Project, Jack McDuff, and many more.
