MUS 204: Technology for Musicians

Remix Project
Due March 6
Login at www.acidplanet.com and choose one of the remix contests to participate in. Right now there are two, one country and one more contemporary/retro.
Project process:
1. listen to the original song on the AcidPlanet site.
2. Download the loop pack for that song.
3. Open iTunes and create a new playlist.
4. Drag the loop folder you downloaded from AcidPlanet into your iTunes playlist.
5. Launch GarageBand and use the media tab to access the loops you just loaded into iTunes.
6. Using the loops provided and any other recordings you play in or take from GarageBand, create your own remix of the song you chose.
7. When finished with your remix, save it as a MP3 file and upload it to your music player on the Ning page.
If you'd like, submit your remix to the AcidPlanet contest and see if you win something. :)
